Malaybalay City is home to the Benedictine Monastery of the Transfiguration, the producers of the popular Monk’s Blend Coffee. The Monastery Church architecture is one of the last designs of famous national artist for architecture, Leandro Locsin and was built years after his death.
Other attractions include Mt. Kitanglad Range National Park, which has the second and fourth highest mountain peaks in the Philippines – Mt. Dulang-dulang and Mt. Kitanglad respectively. Mountain climbing and similar eco-tourism adventures are promoted through the national park management office located in the Department of Environment and National Resources Provincial Office in Malaybalay City.
